510 PCC Manual (Black with Red Logo)
My Go Variable Voltage eCig User Manual

Most Important Things you need to Know

·       Never charge your batteries before they are dead. Batteries are dead when the LED flashes immediately every time you attempt to take a puff. If the battery has no charge at all the LED light will not illuminate at all which also indicates it needs to be charged.

·       Always keep your threads clean. Wipe the threads clean on your battery, atomizer, and cartomizers every time you change or refill a cartridge. Not doing this will cause a short resulting in the device no longer working.

·       Never charge your PCC with a battery screwed into the charging slot on PCC.

·       Remove cartomizer from battery before refilling.

·       Always wipe excess liquid off of cartridges and cartomizer threads after refilling.

·       Take long (3 6 second), soft puffs to produce the best flavor and vapor

·       Twist cartridges when removing to make them easier to get off atomizer

·       Never use with a dry cartridge or cartomizer. It only takes a few puffs with a dry cartridge to burn up the atomizer.

·       Dont over-tighten the battery on the atomizer/cartomizer, in the charger or PCC. Screw it in until you feel resistance and thats tight enough.

·       If the LED light on your battery activates without taking a puff or the atomizer/cartomizer activates by itself when you screw onto battery you have liquid in your battery from over filling the cartridge or the threads on your device are dirty. You can try to remove the liquid from the battery using a can of compressed air by blowing the air into the thread end of the battery. You can also clean the threads on your device with a paper towel to see if it corrects the problem. If the problem still exists you will need to replace the battery. To prevent the issue be sure not to over fill the cartridges and be sure to keep the threads clean on your device.

Getting Started

Before First use

·         Read the manual that came with your eCigarette and use the information below to ensure you understand how to properly use your device.

·         Its important that once you receive your Electronic Cigarette Kit that you fully charge the batteries before using. Not doing this will cause the batteries and cigarette to not function properly and can cause permanent damage to the battery. Your batteries come with a partial to full charge so the time it takes to charge your eCig batery the first time will vary. Just remember when the light on the USB charger turns green the eCig batery is fully charged.

o    To charge your batteries unpack the charger and charger cable from the box and plug it into the wall or USB port on computer.

o    If your battery came with an atomizer attached remove the atomizer from one of your cigarettes and screw the battery into the charger box. When the battery is screwed in the LED on the battery will flash several times and the indicator light on the charger box will turn red. If the charging indicator light does not turn red after the battery is screwed into it than your battery is fully charged and you can begin use.

o    When your battery is fully charged the indicator light on the USB charger will turn solid green. (there will be an occasional red flash between the solid green state which is normal). The LED on the wall plug will not change colors it's just an indicator that the charger has power.

o    Now the first battery is ready for a new cartridge and youre ready to begin vaping. Screw in the second battery and charge it until the indicator light on the charger box turns green.

·         Assemble the fully charged cigarette by screwing the atomizer or cartomizer onto the battery.

·         If a cartridge came on your eCigarette it is blank and needs to be replaced with new cartridges. To replace the cartridge pull the blank cartridge off and replace with a new one from the cartridge box.

·         Electronic Cigarettes have a break-in period of 200 - 300 puffs. As you use your Electronic Cigarette it will break itself in and after 200 - 300 puffs iftshould be operating at its peak performance in regards to vapor production and taste.

About Your Electronic Cigarette

Facts

·         Electronic cigarettes are not real cigarettes and although they function similar to the real thing, keep in mind they are not.

·         Electronic Cigarettes require the user to drag harder than they would with traditional cigarettes. This is due to the fact that the atomizer is activated by the movement of an electronic mico-switch caused by the force of air generated by the drag. When a sufficient drag is administered the LED light on the end of the battery will light up.

·         For best performance, vapor production, and visual smoke at exhale the drag should be 3 - 4 seconds long and should be exhaled quickly. The smoke produced by an electronic cigarette is vapor so it evaporates quickly. If your smoking habit is to inhale a large puff of smoke and hold it in for several seconds you will notice the amount of vapor exhaled will be limited.

·         Electronic cigarettes are not a smoking cessation product, they are intended to be a smoking alternative allowing you to smoke in places where traditional smoking is not allowed.

General Smoking and Device Tips / Info

Dont over vapor

·         The tendency with an electronic cigarette is to smoke it more often that you would a traditional cigarette because its more convenient.

·         On average a traditional cigarette is 10 - 12 puffs and takes 3 - 5 minutes from start to finish to smoke.

·         An electronic cigarette should be smoked similar to the way you smoke traditional cigarettes. You should only take 10 - 12 puffs over a 3 - 5 minute span then put the device away for the period of time you would normally wait between smoking. This means there should be 20 - 30 seconds between each puff.

Don't Dry Smoke / Vapor

·         This is very important. When you are no longer getting any vapor when you take a drag from your device change the cartridge or refill with liquid immediately. If you continue vaping with an empty cartridge it will burn out the atomizer. When you notice the vapor starting to reduce its time to change the cartridge or refill.

Your Electronic Device

·         The indicator that your battery needs charging is the LED flashes continuously immediatly and every time you try to take a puff. When this occurs you need to replace the battery immediately with a fully charged battery and charge the dead battery fully until the indicator light on the charger box turns green. (Do not charge batteries before they indicate needing a charge by the LED flashing continuously immediately and every time you try to take a puff).

·         To prevent premature drainage of the battery and/or damage to the atomizer you should disassemble your device when it is not being used. After smoking you should unscrew the atomizer from the battery and store in an electronic cigarette case if you have one and if not in an adequate place to prevent damage.

·         This is an electronic device so it should be treated no different than a cell phone or other electronic devices. Store the device appropriately to prevent damage from elements such as water, extreme heat, etc..

·         All electronic cigarettes have a safety mechanism that activates when certain conditions are present to warn you that you are smoking the device improperly.

§  The 1st mechanism is activated when you puff on the device for more than 10 seconds continuously. When this occurs the LED light on the end of the battery will flash and the device will shutdown. During this shutdown period the device will not allow the micro-switch to activate the vaporizer. After 30 seconds the device automatically returns to normal operating mode.

§  The 2nd is activated if you take more than 16 drags in a one minute period. When this occurs the LED light on the end of the battery will flash and the device will shutdown. During this shutdown period the device will not allow the micro-switch to activate the vaporizer. After 30 seconds the device automatically returns to normal operating mode.

·         TIP - For Classic Model - In some cases when your e-cig is not producing as much vapor as you'd like you can unscrew the atomizer/cartomizer slightly (about 1/4 to 1/2 a turn) and the vapor production will increase.

·         TIP - For 901 models you can pull the stuffing out of the cartridge about 1/8 of an inch to get more contact with the atomizer which will produce more vapor.

·         TIP - If you notice vapor production is reduced and you know there is liquid in your cartridge try to rotate your Ecig 180 degrees which will allow the liquid to shift in the cart and sometimes produce more vapor.

·         TIP - When smoking an e-cig you should hold it tilted slightly toward the ground so the liquid can flow to the top of the cart.

About Batteries, Cartridges, e-Liquid, and PCC's

Batteries

·         The charge on your battery should last between 250 and 500 puffs. The life depends on the length and frequency of your drawls and will very depending on your individual smoking habits.

·         Your batteries have a life of 200 to 300 charges.

·         Average charging time for an electronic cigarette battery is about an hour.

·         To ensure best performance and proper battery life, batteries must be used until the LED light flashes continuously 10 times immediately and every time you take a puff indicating the battery needs charging. Not following these instructions related to your batteries will reduce the charge life as well as the overall life of your batteries.

Cartridges

·         Cartridges should be stored in a controlled environment where temperatures do not exceed 80 F.

·         The number of puffs you get from each cartridge will vary based on your individual smoking habits.

·         Average puffs per cartridge can vary from between 50 and 200 depending on how you smoke and the model e-cig you have. The DEUCE II PRO set normally has longer cartridge life.

·         Cartridges should be used within 5 days after opening.

·         Cartridge shelf life is 12 - 18 months from their production date. Cartridges shipped to you are no more than 1 month old when you receive them.

·         Number of puffs can be greatly reduced if device is not disassembled when not in use and/or when cartridges are stored in extreme heat.

·         When your electronic cigarette stops producing vapor and the LED is lighting up when you puff on the device (but not indicating the battery needs charging) the cartridge most likely needs replacing.

Cartomizers

·         Cartomizers should be stored in a controlled environment where temperatures do not exceed 80 F.

·         The number of puffs you get from each cartomizer will vary based on your individual smoking habits.

·         Average puffs per cartomizer can vary from between 200 and 400 depending on how you smoke and the model e-cig you have. The DEUCE II PRO set normally has longer cartridge life.

·         Cartomizers should be used within 5 days after opening or refilling.

·         Cartomizer shelf life is 12 - 18 months from their production date. Cartridges shipped to you are no more than 1 month old when you receive them.

·         Number of puffs can be greatly reduced if device is not disassembled when not in use and/or when cartomizers are stored in extreme heat.

·         When your electronic cigarette stops producing vapor and the LED is lighting up when you puff on the device (but not indicating the battery needs charging) the cartridge most likely needs replacing.

e-Liquid

·         E-liquid should be stored in a controlled environment where temperatures do not exceed 80 F.

·         If you are refilling cartridges you will need to keep the original plug that was in your cartridge when you first took it out of the package.

·         After the original cartridge is out of liquid (no longer producing vapor) you should clean the outside of the cartridge with a damp paper towel or hand towel, replace the plug and store in a safe place out of the reach of children and pets until ready to fill.

·         To refill a cartridge you should remove the stuffing from the cartridge and drop 3 - 5 drops for Classic model and 8 10 drops of liquid for the PRO model into the cartridge and then put the stuffing back into the cartridge. If the top of the stuffing is not visibly wet you can drop 1 - 2 more drops of liquid on it to top it off. Wipe any liquid off the outside of the cartridge and put the cap back on the cartridge. For the Classic model you will need to remove the liquid container from the cartridge using a toothpick or bent paper clip.

·         For refilling you do not have to remove the stuffing, but removing it will give you better performance out of the cartridge. (Important: Removing the stuffing is only for cartridges, DO NOT attempt to remove the stuffing from cartomizers as it will render them useless) To refill cartomizers you just remove the rubber end cap and drip liquid directly on the cotton filler while rotating the cartomizer a 1/4 turn after each 2 drops until you've put 10 - 12 drops in the cartomizer.

·         Refilled cartridges can be used immediately, but for best results store them plug up for at least an hour to allow the e-liquid to absorb into the cotton contained in the cartridge.

·         Cartridges should not be refilled more than 10 times. After 10 refills dispose of the cartridge appropriately.

·         The number of puffs received from refilled cartridges will vary depending on your individual smoking habits.

·         Refilled cartridges should be used within 5 days of filling.

PCC (Portable Charging Case) Information

·         When you receive your PCC you should unscrew the eCig battery from it (if it came with a battery in it) then plug it up using the supplied USB cable and wall plug adapter. The charging indicator light will will turn red while the PCC is charging and once charging is complete the led will turn off.

·         To charge your eCig battery screw it into the charging slot inside the PCC and push the button on the front of the PCC. The LED tip on the eCig battery will flash and the charging indicator light on the PCC will turn red indicating the eCig battery is charging. Once completely charged the indicator light on the PCC will turn off. To check the charge of a battery you can push the charging button on the PCC and if the light on the PCC turns green then turns off that means your eCig battery is fully charged.

·         To check the available battery life in your PCC push the charging button and the illuminated battery life LCD panel will show you how much charge is left in your PCC. If you have less than a 1/4 charge your should plug you PCC up to charge it.

·         You should not charge the PCC with an eCig battery screwed into the charging port. Before charging the PCC unscrew the eCig battery to prevent damage.

·         You should reserve PCC eCig battery charging to when you are away from home and don't have access to the charger that came with your starter kit. This will extend the life of the PCC

o This model has an Auto and Manual battery option. The manual battery allows you to take control over how much vapor is produced regardless of how hard or soft you drag on the device. The manual operation battery has a push-button that you push when you are ready to take a drag and is preferred by experienced users over the regular auto battery operation.
o The auto battery configuration with this model is going to have a smooth loose draw meaning when you take a drag there is very little resistance which results in more air flowing through the device which results in less vapor than with the manual battery.
o Cartridges and Cartomizers for this model are refillable as with all our models.
o If you are an experienced eCig user, want a device that looks and feels similar to a traditional cigarette, and want to start out with a manual operation battery to give you more control and more vapor production this is the best model for you.

2. If you prefer a device that doesn't resemble the look of a traditional cigarette (This model is referred to as a Pen Style eCig)

 PRO (DSE901)

Other Options to Decide On

Battery, PCC, and Case Options

Auto Battery This is the preferred option by most of our customers because all you have to do is puff on it like a regular cigarette to produce vapor.

Manual Battery The manual battery has a push button that must be pushed to activate the device and produce vapor. This is preferred by more experienced users because they have more control over how soft or hard they puff. It also allows them to puff on the device without pushing the button just to give them the motion sensation of smoking.

Pass-through Batteries The PRO model has an option of a pass-through witch allows the device to receive power directly from the computer without having to run down your eCig battery charge.

PCC (Portable Charging Case) - If you are on the go a lot (traveling, shopping, sports, etc) where you will not have access to a power source you should invest in a PCC. The PCC looks like a regular cigarette pack and holds your cartridges as well as chargers your batteries 10 - 12 times while your away from a power source. When you get home you plug the PCC into a power source to recharge its internal battery then its ready for your next trip.

Carrying Case Having a carrying case gives you a convenient way to store, protect, and carry your device. The case will hold 2 batteries, atomizer, and spare cartridges so you always know exactly where they are. No searching through your pockets or purse looking for that spare battery you knew you put in there.

Choosing Cartridge or Liquid Strength

Extra High For smokers that smoke 3+ packs of full flavored cigarettes a day

High For smokers that smoke 2 - 3 packs or full or light flavored cigarettes a day

Medium For smokers that smoke 1 - 2 packs of light flavored cigarettes per day

Low For smokers that smoke 1 pack or less of Ultra light flavored cigarettes a day

No For smokers that do not want nicotine just the sensation of smoking

Cartridges vs. Cartomizers

Cartomizers combine the atomizer and cartridge into one piece which results in a cartridge that produces 200 - 400 consistent puffs. They are considered disposable and can be refilled. The general life of the disposable cartomizer is 10 refills which would be equivalent to over a carton of cigarettes per cartomizer. The advantage of the cartomizer is the significant increase in puffs, more consistent vapor, and no need to purchase replacement atomizers when they fail.

Cartridges are preferred by many customers because they are cheaper and don't produce as much vapor. For some users the vapor produced by cartomizers is too much. Its recommended that you refill cartridges no more than 10 times then switch to a new one. The estimated average puff count of a cartridge is 100.

Should you Refill Cartridges

 You should absolutely try it

o We give you a FREE bottle of liquid with each starter kit so you can determine if you would rather refill or purchase filled replacement cartridges.

o Refilling cartridges ends up costing you 70% less than purchasing prefilled cartridges

o Refilling gives you many different flavor options.

o The liquid is the exact same liquid that's in the prefilled cartridges

 Can prefilled cartridges be refilled

o Absolutely they can be refilled with the same flavor as they came packaged with or any other flavor of your choice.

o You can remove the cotton from the cartridge, rinse it with warm water, dry by squeezing with paper towel and refill with any flavor. You don't have to do this to switch flavors but if you're switching from menthol to banana the mixed flavors taste will most likely not be desirable.

Glossary of Ecig Terms

Below is a glossary to give you a better understanding of all the products mentioned on our site and across the eCigarette community.

Battery: Rechargeable lithium battery used to power Electronic Cigarettes. This is the part of the eCigarette that mimics the tobacco filled part of a traditional cigarette. eCig batteries have an LED indicator (various colors) on the tip that mimic the fire on a traditional cigarette.

Auto Battery: Auto batteries are operated just by taking a drag like you would on a traditional cigarette. When a drag is taken the battery is activated and the liquid in the cartridge is turned into vapor.

Manual and/or Push-button Battery: Manual batteries are operated by pushing a small button located on the battery tube. When the button is pressed the battery is activated and the liquid in the cartridge is turned into vapor.

Atomizer: Part of the eCig that atomizers the liquid to create the vapor. Atomizers screw into the battery and a cartridge containing the liquid inserts onto the atomizer. 3 piece (Battery, Atomizer, and Cartridge) design eCigs have an atomizer, 2 piece design eCigs do not have a separate atomizer

Cartridge: Part of the eCig that contains the flavored liquid used to create vapor. This is the part of the eCigarette that mimics the filter part of a traditional cigarette. All cartridges can be refilled with eLiquid and its recommended they be replaced after 10 refills.

Cartomizer: Part of the eCig that contains the flavored liquid used to create vapor and a built in atomizer. A cartomizer combines the atomizer and cartridge into one piece which makes the eCig a 2 piece (Battery and Cartomizer) design. This is the part of the eCigarette that mimics the filter part of a traditional cigarette. All cartomizers can be refilled with eLiquid and its recommended they be replaced after 10 refills. Cartomizers were invented as a replacement for the separate atomizers and cartridges but some consumers still prefer the 3 piece design so most suppliers offer both configurations.

Tank Cartridges: Clear plastic cartridge that is filled with liquid to create vapor. Tank cartridges have no cotton filler, they just hold liquid and require an atomizer to create the vapor. The tank cartridge was invented to allow you to see how much liquid is left in the cartridge and to eliminate the need for cotton in the cartridge. These are great designs and experienced vapers love them. These are available for our eGo and 510 models.

Tank Atomizer: Atomizers used with tank cartridges. These atomizers have a small needle like port that punctures the tank cartridges to allow liquid to flow into the atomizer for vapor to be produced.

PCC: This is a Portable Charging Case that is the same size and shape as a traditional pack of cigarettes and is used to store and charge your eCigarette batteries while you're on the go. PCC cases also hold 5 cartridges or cartomizers, an extra battery and have an LED indicator to let you know the charging progress of you eCig batteries as well as the charge left in the PCC itself. The PCC has an internal battery that will charge your eCig batteries up to 10 times before needing recharged. To recharge them you just plug them up to a USB connector to your computer or USB wall adapter and when the light turns green you're ready to go. Our PCCs have a green indicator light to let you know when your battery is charged. While the battery is charging the light will be red and when it completes the light turns green. They are simple to use, screw your battery in, push the charging button and when the light turns from red to green the battery is ready to use. This is a great accessory for when you're away from home shopping, at work, restaurants, bars, etc

Smart PCC: This means the PCC has an LCD display to show you the charging progress, the PCC can be charged while its charging batteries, and your batteries can be left on the charger after they are fully charged because the PCC turns itself off when the battery is charged.

eLiquid: Liquid used to refill cartridges, cartomizers, and tanks. Liquid is available in many different flavors and strengths of nicotine and also comes with just the flavor without the nicotine. All our cartridges, cartomizers and tanks are refillable and using the liquid to refill cartridges is 50% cheaper than using prefilled cartridges. Prefilled cartridges can be refilled with the same or different flavor liquid. When filling with a different flavor it normally takes 20 - 40 puffs to get the old flavor out of the cartridge.

Pass-Through: This is a device that looks like an eCig battery but it has a USB cord that connects to your computer as a power source for creating vapor. These are great if you are in front of your computer a lot and don't want to drain the power from your normal batteries. The computer provides a power source to the atomizer so as long as its plugged up it works.

2 Piece Design: This term is used to describe eCigarettes that use a battery and a cartomizer. The cartomizer is an atomizer and cartridge built together as one piece. The one piece unit contains the atomization device as well as the liquid and it screws onto the eCig battery. When the battery is activated the cartomizer creates vapor. Cartomizers were invented as a replacement for the separate atomizers and cartridges but some consumers still prefer the 3 piece design so most suppliers offer both configurations.

3 Piece Design: This term is used to describe eCigarettes that use a battery, atomizer, and cartridge making up 3 pieces. The atomizer screws onto the battery and the cartridge containing the liquid slides onto the atomizer. When the battery is activated the atomizer creates vapor from the liquid in the cartridge. This is the original design of the eCig and its still very popular among consumers.

USB Charger: Charger that the eCig battery plugs into to charge the battery. USB chargers can be connected to your computer USB port, a USB car charger, and/or a USB wall charger adapter. Most chargers have a light that when plugged up is green or blue, when the eCig battery is screwed in and charging begins the light will turn red, when the battery is charged the light will turn back green or blue. Typically charging times range from 45 minutes for regular eCigs and up to 2 hours from large capacity batteries like come with the eGo.

Wall Charger Adapter: AC plug that plugs into a wall outlet and has a USB port for plugging in the USB eCig charger. Most of these have a red indicator light that just lets you know there is power to the adapter. The light does not change when you are charging a battery.
