1. Never charge your eCig batteries before they are dead. Batteries are dead when the LED flashes immediately every time you attempt to take a puff.
If the eCig battery has no charge at all the LED light will not illuminate when you try to take a puff which also indicates it needs to be charged.
Dont mistake the over usage indicator for a dead battery. If you take too long of a puff (over 10 seconds) or too many puffs in a 60 second period the LED will flash to warn you it is being over used.
To ensure the flashing is due to a dead battery you should make several attempts to take a puff and if the LED flashes immediately with every attempt the battery is dead and needs to be changed.
Clean the threads on the battery and charger before charging and be sure not to over tighten the battery in the charger. Screw the battery into charger until you feel resistance and that is tight enough. Screwing the battery in too tight can damage the connectors causing damage to the battery and/or charger.
Do not use the PCC (Portable Charging Case) to charge batteries if you have access to charge with the normal USB charger.
Remove the battery from the charger as quickly as possible after charging is complete and never leave a charging battery unattended.
2. Always keep your eCig threads clean. Wipe the threads clean on your eCig battery, atomizer, charger, and cartomizers every time you change or refill an eCig cartridge and before each charge.
Not doing this can cause a short resulting in the eCig device or charger no longer working.
Damage due to dirty threads or liquid in the battery or charger are not covered under our warranty. Batteries or chargers returned to us with dirty threads or liquid in them cannot be replaced.
3. Never charge your eCig PCC with an eCig battery screwed into the charging slot on PCC and only use the PCC when you do not have access to your normal USB eCig charger.
The PCC will not attempt to charge a battery unless it is completely dead and it only gives the battery an 80% charge to prevent over charging.
Do not over tighten the battery in the charging slot of PCC. Screw it in until you feel resistance and thats tight enough.
Over tightening the battery can cause damage to the PCC and/or the battery connectors rendering them unusable.
4. Remove eCig cartomizer from battery before refilling and always disassemble the eCig when not in use or when storing.
Its best to store the device in a carrying case or PCC to protect it from damage. Leaving the device assembled when not in use can damage the battery, atomizer, and/or cartomizer and if you have liquid in your battery from overfilling it could activate automatically and cause damage.
Getting liquid in your battery is very easy to do if you dont follow the refill instructions and/or leave the device assembled while not in use or while filling.
Failures due to dirty threads or liquid in the battery are not covered under our warranty. Batteries returned to us with dirty threads or liquid in them cannot be replaced.
5. Always wipe excess liquid off of eCig batteries, atomizers, and cartomizer threads after refilling.
Not removing the excess liquid from your battery and cartomizer threads can result in damage to your battery and/or cartomizer causing them to be unusable.
Failures due to dirty threads or liquid in the battery are not covered under our warranty. Batteries returned to us with dirty threads or liquid in them cannot be replaced.
6. Take long (3 6 second), soft puffs from your eCig to produce the best flavor and vapor
If you take short and hard puffs the device will not function properly.
If you take over a 10 second puff the LED on the battery will flash indicating you have taken too long of a puff. Do not mistake this flashing for a dead battery.
7. When using 3 piece design eCigs (non cartomizer style) twist eCig cartridges when removing to make them easier to get off eCig atomizer.
Do not try to pull the cartridge straight off because it can pull the atomizer apart.
Twisting is as you pull will make it come off easier and reduce the chance of atomizer damage.
8. Never use with a dry eCig cartridge or eCig cartomizer. It only takes a few puffs with a dry cartridge to burn up the atomizer. Never take a puff on your eCig with a blank cartridge attached before its been filled because 1 puff will burn the filler making it unusable. Follow these simple steps when refilling cartomizers.
Cartomizers
o Filling our standard (1ml) cartomizer will take 20 - 25 drops of liquid. If your cartridge or cartomizer has a larger capacity than 1ml determine how many drops are required for filling based on 20-25 drops per ml.
o It should take 3 - 4 minutes to fill it so it has time to soak into the filler.
o Remove the cartomizer from the battery, remove the white rubber end plug, then put a couple of drops of liquid around the edges so it runs into the filler (be careful not to get in center hole), rotate 1/4 turn, wait 10-20 seconds, put 2 more drops, and continue repeating the process until the liquid puddles up on top of the filler.
o At this point it's a good idea to wrap a paper towel around the thread end of the cartomizer and blow lightly through the mouth piece end to remove any excess liquid.
o Lastly, wipe the threads on the battery and cartomizer clean with a paper towel and you should be good to go.
Cartridges (Type without built in atomizer just a plastic cartridge with filler material and no threads)
o When using a 3 piece design model (battery, atomizer, and cartridge). Follow these steps for refilling.
o Remove the cartridge from the atomizer
o For best results you should remove the filler from cartridge.
o Fill liquid capsule to top with liquid.
o Carefully and slowly replace the cartridge filler.
o Wipe any excess liquid from the outside of the cartridge.
o Insert cartridge back on atomizer and you are ready to vape.
Clearomizers & Tanks - Depending on the type of Clearomizer or tank you have the refilling instructions vary. Please visit the product on our site for specific instructions for the type you have.
o For CE4 & CE5 Remove the Clearomizer from the eCig battery then remove the drip tip. Tilt the Clearomizer slightly then drip liquid down the side of the inside wall. Be careful not to get liquid in the center hole. Fill with liquid to the bottom of the clear rubber cover around the atomizer head. Filling past this point will cause flooding and leakage.
o Vision ViVi Nova Remove the Nova tank from the ecig battery then unscrew the top cap on the tank. Tilt the tank slightly then drip liquid down the side of the inside wall. Be careful not to get liquid in the center hole. Fill with liquid to the bottom of the clear rubber cover around the atomizer head. Filling past this point will cause flooding and leakage. Screw the top cap of tank back on and it is ready to use.
o DCT (Dual Coil Tank) Remove the DCT from the battery then remove the drip tip. Slide the internal cartomizer down until it is about below the top cap on tube. Tilt the DCT slightly then drip liquid down the side of tube until liquid is at the top of internal cartomizer. Slide the internal cartomizer back through top cap. If this is the first time filling the DCT you will need to fill the internal cartomizer with 25-30 drops of liquid dripped around the edges into filler material. Replace the drip tip and wrap a paper towel around the thread end of DCT, blow lightly through the DCT from the mouthpiece end to remove and excess liquid. The DCT is now ready to use.
9. Dont over-tighten the eCig battery on the eCig atomizer/cartomizer, in the eCig charger or eCig PCC. Screw it in until you feel resistance and thats tight enough.
Over tightening will damage the connectors in the battery causing it to fail and voiding the warranty.
Sometimes there may be a small gap between the cartomizer/atomizer and the battery which is normal. Do not try to tighten until the gap is gone because it will damage the connectors causing the device to fail and void your warranty.
10. If the LED light on your eCig battery activates without taking a puff or the eCig atomizer/cartomizer activates by itself when you screw onto battery you most likely have liquid in your eCig battery from over filling the cartridge or the threads on your eCig device are dirty.
You can try to remove the liquid from the eCig battery using a can of compressed air by blowing the air into the thread end of the battery.
You can also clean the threads on your battery with a paper towel to see if it corrects the problem.
If after cleaning, the battery still activates itself or causes the cartomizer/atomizer to get hot when assembled do not attempt to use the device, disassemble it and dispose of properly.
If the problem still exists you will need to replace the eCig battery.
To prevent the issue be sure not to over fill the eCig cartridges, never refill with cartridge attached to battery, and be sure to always keep the threads clean on your battery, cartomizers, atomizers, and chargers.
Failures due to dirty threads or liquid in the battery are not covered under our warranty. Batteries returned to us with dirty threads or liquid in them cannot be replaced.
Getting Started
Before First use
Read the entire eCig manual that came with your eCigarette and use the information below to ensure you understand how to properly use your eCig device.
Its important that once you receive your Electronic Cigarette Kit that you fully charge the batteries before using. Not doing this will cause the batteries and cigarette to not function properly and can cause permanent damage to the battery. Your batteries come with a partial to full charge so the time it takes to charge your eCig batery the first time will vary. Just remember when the light on the USB charger turns green the eCig batery is fully charged.
o To charge your eCig batteries unpack the eCig charger and eCig charger cable from the box and plug it into the wall or USB port on computer.
o If your eCig battery came with an eCig atomizer attached remove the eCig atomizer from one of your eCig batteries and screw the battery into the charger box. When the eCig battery is screwed in the LED on the eCig battery will flash several times and the indicator light on the charger box will turn red. If the charging indicator light does not turn red after the eCig battery is screwed into it than your eCig battery is fully charged and you can begin use.
o When your eCig battery is fully charged the indicator light on the eCig USB charger will turn solid green. (there will be an occasional red flash between the solid green state which is normal). The LED on the wall plug will not change colors it's just an indicator that the charger has power.
o Now the first eCig battery is ready for a new eCig cartridge and youre ready to begin vaping. Screw in the secondeCig battery and charge it until the indicator light on the charger box turns green.
Assemble the fully charged eCig by screwing the eCig atomizer or eCig cartomizer onto the battery.
If a cartridge came on your eCigarette it is blank and needs to be replaced with new eCig cartridges. To replace the cartridge pull the blank eCig cartridge off and replace with a new one from the cartridge box.
Electronic Cigarettes have a break-in period of 200 - 300 puffs. As you use your Electronic Cigarette it will break itself in and after 200 - 300 puffs iftshould be operating at its peak performance in regards to vapor production and taste.
About Your Electronic Cigarette
Facts
Electronic cigarettes are not real cigarettes and although they function similar to the real thing, keep in mind they are not.
Electronic Cigarettes require the user to drag harder than they would with traditional cigarettes. This is due to the fact that the eCig atomizer is activated by the movement of an electronic mico-switch caused by the force of air generated by the drag. When a sufficient drag is administered the LED light on the end of the eCig battery will light up.
For best performance, vapor production, and visual smoke at exhale the drag should be 3 - 4 seconds long and should be exhaled quickly. The smoke produced by an electronic cigarette is vapor so it evaporates quickly. If your smoking habit is to inhale a large puff of smoke and hold it in for several seconds you will notice the amount of vapor exhaled will be limited.
Electronic cigarettes are not a smoking cessation product, they are intended to be a smoking alternative allowing you to smoke in places where traditional smoking is not allowed.
General Smoking and Device Tips / Info
Dont over vapor
The tendency with an electronic cigarette is to smoke it more often that you would a traditional cigarette because its more convenient.
On average a traditional cigarette is 10 - 12 puffs and takes 3 - 5 minutes from start to finish to smoke.
An electronic cigarette should be smoked similar to the way you smoke traditional cigarettes. You should only take 10 - 12 puffs over a 3 - 5 minute span then put the device away for the period of time you would normally wait between smoking. This means there should be 20 - 30 seconds between each puff.
Don't Dry Smoke / Vapor
This is very important. When you are no longer getting any vapor when you take a drag from your device change the cartridge or refill with liquid immediately. If you continue vaping with an empty cartridge it will burn out the atomizer. When you notice the vapor starting to reduce its time to change the cartridge or refill.
Your Electronic Device
The indicator that your eCig battery needs charging is the LED flashes continuously immediatly and every time you try to take a puff. When this occurs you need to replace the eCig battery immediately with a fully charged eCig battery and charge the dead eCig battery fully until the indicator light on the charger box turns green. (Do not charge eCig batteries before they indicate needing a charge by the LED flashing continuously immediately and every time you try to take a puff).
To prevent premature drainage of the eCig battery and/or damage to the eCig atomizer you should disassemble your eCig device when it is not being used. After smoking you should unscrew the eCig atomizer from the eCig battery and store in an electronic cigarette case if you have one and if not in an adequate place to prevent damage.
This is an electronic device so it should be treated no different than a cell phone or other electronic devices. Store the device appropriately to prevent damage from elements such as water, extreme heat, etc..
All electronic cigarettes have a safety mechanism that activates when certain conditions are present to warn you that you are smoking the device improperly.
The 1st mechanism is activated when you puff on the eCig device for more than 10 seconds continuously. When this occurs the LED light on the end of the eCig battery will flash and the device will shutdown. During this shutdown period the device will not allow the micro-switch to activate the vaporizer. After 30 seconds the eCig device automatically returns to normal operating mode.
The 2nd is activated if you take more than 16 drags in a one minute period. When this occurs the LED light on the end of the eCig battery will flash and the device will shutdown. During this shutdown period the eCig device will not allow the micro-switch to activate the vaporizer. After 30 seconds the eCig device automatically returns to normal operating mode.
TIP - For Classic eCig Model - In some cases when your e-cig is not producing as much vapor as you'd like you can unscrew the eCig atomizer/cartomizer slightly (about 1/4 to 1/2 a turn) and the vapor production will increase.
TIP - For 901 eCig models you can pull the stuffing out of the eCig cartridge about 1/8 of an inch to get more contact with the eCig atomizer which will produce more vapor.
TIP - If you notice vapor production is reduced and you know there is liquid in your eCig cartridge try to rotate your Ecig 180 degrees which will allow the liquid to shift in the eCig cartridge and sometimes produce more vapor.
TIP - When smoking an e-cig you should hold it tilted slightly toward the ground so the eCig liquid can flow to the top of the cart.
About Batteries, Cartridges, e-Liquid, and PCC's
Batteries
The charge on your eCig battery should last between 250 and 500 puffs. The life depends on the length and frequency of your drags and will very depending on your individual smoking habits.
Your eCig batteries have a life of 200 to 300 charges.
Average charging time for an electronic cigarette battery is about an hour.
To ensure best performance and proper eCig battery life, eCig batteries must be used until the LED light flashes continuously 10 times immediately and every time you take a puff indicating the battery needs charging. Not following these instructions related to your eCig batteries will reduce the charge life as well as the overall life of your batteries.
Cartridges
eCig Cartridges should be stored in a controlled environment where temperatures do not exceed 80 F.
The number of puffs you get from each eCig cartridge will vary based on your individual smoking habits.
Average puffs per eCig cartridge can vary from between 50 and 200 depending on how you smoke and the model e-cig you have. Cartomizers will give you a significantly more amount of puffs over traditional eCig cartridges.
eCig Cartridges should be used within 5 days after opening.
eCig Cartridge shelf life is 12 - 18 months from their production date. eCig Cartridges shipped to you are no more than 1 month old when you receive them.
Number of puffs can be greatly reduced if eCig device is not disassembled when not in use and/or when eCig cartridges are stored in extreme heat.
When your electronic cigarette stops producing vapor and the LED is lighting up when you puff on the eCig device (but not indicating the eCig battery needs charging) the eCig cartridge most likely needs replacing.
Cartomizers
eCig Cartomizers should be stored in a controlled environment where temperatures do not exceed 80 F.
The number of puffs you get from each eCig cartomizer will vary based on your individual smoking habits.
Average puffs per cartomizer can vary from between 200 and 400 depending on how you smoke and the model e-cig you have.
eCig Cartomizers should be used within 5 days after opening or refilling.
eCig Cartomizer shelf life is 12 - 18 months from their production date. eCig cartomizers shipped to you are no more than 1 month old when you receive them.
Number of puffs can be greatly reduced if eCig device is not disassembled when not in use and/or when eCig cartomizers are stored in extreme heat.
When your electronic cigarette stops producing vapor and the LED is lighting up when you puff on the eCig device (but not indicating the eCig battery needs charging) the eCig cartomizer most likely needs replacing.
e-Liquid
E-liquid should be stored in a controlled environment where temperatures do not exceed 80 F.
If you are refilling eCig cartridges you will need to keep the original plug that was in your eCig cartridge when you first took it out of the package.
After the original eCig cartridge is out of liquid (no longer producing vapor) you should clean the outside of the eCig cartridge with a damp paper towel or hand towel, replace the plug and store in a safe place out of the reach of children and pets until ready to fill.
To refill an eCig cartridge you should remove the stuffing from the eCig cartridge and drop 3 - 5 drops for Classic model and 8 - 10 drops of liquid for the PRO model into the eCig cartridge and then put the stuffing back into the eCig cartridge. If the top of the stuffing is not visibly wet you can drop 1 - 2 more drops of liquid on it to top it off. Wipe any liquid off the outside of the eCig cartridge and put the cap back on the cartridge. For the Classic model eCig you will need to remove the liquid container from the eCig cartridge using a toothpick or bent paper clip.
For refilling you do not have to remove the stuffing, but removing it will give you better performance out of the eCig cartridge. (Important: Removing the stuffing is only for cartridges, DO NOT attempt to remove the stuffing from cartomizers as it will render them useless) To refill cartomizers you just remove the rubber end cap and drip liquid directly on the cotton filler while rotating the cartomizer a 1/4 turn after each 2 drops until you've put 10 - 12 drops in the cartomizer.
Refilled eCig cartridges can be used immediately, but for best results store them plug up for at least an hour to allow the eCig e-liquid to absorb into the cotton contained in the eCig cartridge.
eCig Cartridges should not be refilled more than 10 times. After 10 refills dispose of the eCig cartridge appropriately.
The number of puffs received from refilled eCig cartridges will vary depending on your individual smoking habits.
Refilled eCig cartridges should be used within 5 days of filling.
PCC (Portable Charging Case) Information
When you receive your eCig PCC you should unscrew the eCig battery from it (if it came with a battery in it) then plug it up using the supplied eCig USB cable and wall plug adapter. The charging indicator light will will turn red while the eCig PCC is charging and once charging is complete the led will turn off.
To charge your eCig battery screw it into the charging slot inside the eCig PCC and push the button on the front of the PCC. The LED tip on the eCig battery will flash and the charging indicator light on the eCig PCC will turn red indicating the eCig battery is charging. Once completely charged the indicator light on the eCig PCC will turn off. To check the charge of an eCig battery you can push the charging button on the eCig PCC and if the light on the eCig PCC turns green then turns off that means your eCig battery is fully charged.
To check the available battery life in your eCig PCC push the charging button and the illuminated battery life LCD panel will show you how much charge is left in your eCig PCC. If you have less than a 1/4 charge your should plug you eCig PCC up to charge it.
You should not charge the eCig PCC with an eCig battery screwed into the charging port. Before charging the eCig PCC unscrew the eCig battery to prevent damage.
You should reserve PCC eCig battery charging to when you are away from home and don't have access to the USB eCig charger that came with your starter kit. This will extend the life of the eCig PCC
